Once i bled for you. poured my pulsing soul upon the tar of the black top and watched you. watched, with mystified disenchantment as your scornful words sacraficed vitality and left an empty shell, a sucking gash still pouring the remains of a faded life onto a concrete pedestal of death. and it wasn't until now when your existence is but a crumbling memory that i cried the tears that long huddled in cringing eyes. because finally my mind spread open a hidden palette and displayed for me exactly hhow easy it had been for you to take all that i was and ANNIHILATE it....
Avoidance
How about...
we stop dodging the subject.
Stop running around
in useless
familiar circles
and get to the point.
It doesn't preserve my
fragile feelings
when you don't say
what your thinking
but i can see it in your eyes.
So how about you
say it
so i don't have to guess...
guess why
you look the other way
and smile
at the others
and whisper
in there ears,
all those things i know
your thinking
but are still
afraid
to say
to me
